Stop beating yourself up for not being able to do it alone.

Because no one can. There’s a better way.

Ask Yourself This:

Are you constantly feeling overwhelmed by racing thoughts around food?

Do you lack self-control when it comes to food choices or portion control, and suffer with intense feelings of shame and remorse after overeating?

Has your anxiety over food started to seep into other areas of your life?

Do you dread going out to dinner with friends or letting your partner cook for you?

Do all the trendy diet programs overwhelm you… to the point where you just throw up your hands and “do nothing”?

Are you constantly defeated by your lack of follow-through with diet & exercise?

Does “meal prepping” sound like a huge chore and a giant bore? You know you should do it but...

Have you looked at the memes about gaining the “COVID 15,” only to secretly feel intense embarrassment when you realize how much it “hits home”?

Have you always wanted to ask for help… but didn’t know how?

Did you check most of the boxes? If so...

The time is NOW.

Because you are exhausted, and you deserve to regain your power.

Asking for help is not weak. In fact, it’s the strongest thing you can do.

Studies show that 50% of women are “on a diet” at any given time.

What if I were to tell you every woman out there is suffering from a common ailment? One that is pervasive not just in the US but around the world.

FOOD SHAME.

This is not a light topic that is “just a little uncomfortable.” I believe it is the single biggest reason that women suffer with the inability to succeed in their weight loss goals. Shame around compulsions, fear of failure, and embarrassment around not being able to “get it right” when they SLAY in all other areas of their life is keeping women sick & unwell.

The statistics are terrifying:

62%

of adult Americans are overweight or obese, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

2.8 million

people suffer with Binge Eating Disorder in the United States.

3%

of adults in the US with B.E.D will get an actual diagnosis, yet B.E.D is more common than breast cancer, HIV, and schizophrenia.

We’re scared to look at these numbers. Many people suffer from compulsive food behaviors that they’ve long told themselves they should “just control with will-power.”

That’s a set-up for failure.

I know… because I suffered too.

Hi, I'm Jamie!

I’m a media personality, wellness influencer, successful podcaster, and happy wife and mom.

I’m the daughter of TV journalist Joan Lunden, who spent a good part of her own career inspiring women to live healthier lives, and I was proud to be on the same path.

Looking at me from the outside, you’d think I was really rockin’ it!

What you wouldn't know is that underneath this veneer, I have struggled my entire life with insecurity about my weight and around food issues. In my twenties, it nearly killed me.

Fast forward to after I had my first child, I was in a dark place. I was struggling to find my footfalls as a new mom, reclaim my professional self, and wade through emotions around my weight gain.

They were not new emotions… they felt all too familiar.

Old habits began cropping up… including the binging, food obsession, and general apathy for fitness. I knew something had to change. I kept trying to “get myself back on track,” and would beat myself up each time I “fell off the wagon.”

I reached out to a friend with an accountability program for help, and it changed my life. I learned the power of simply having others on my “team.” Telling someone the plan and having them there to hold me to it was the key to digging myself out and getting back on solid ground.

Long term, I knew I had to figure out how to set up this same framework around me, with the people I loved as my support system.

It started with my husband.

Relationships are complicated, and it was abundantly clear to me that if I approached him the wrong way, the whole concept could tumble.

In a moment of clarity, I realized what had to come first: a level of vulnerability I had never approached.

Even after several years of marriage, the one thing I had never discussed with him before was my complex relationship with food. As women, we have so much shame around food - but if we want help, we have to get real.

And so I found myself at the doorway of our living room, nervously walking towards him one night.

“Babe, we need to talk…”

I spilled my guts. I expressed how challenged I felt around food, how triggering certain foods were for me, and how I needed help staying away from “relapses” of old patterned behaviours.

He took my hand and looked in my eyes - and told me he was there for me, whatever it took. That was the moment I knew we were ready for THE BIG ASK.

So how did I break free?

By learning to make THE BIG ASK.

It is this system that saved me and is now saving the lives of my friends, followers, and clients.

Let’s find the Soul-ution. Together.
